About Zach
Who writes MaxedMoney, and the honest-broker approach behind it.
Zach [PLACEHOLDER: last name] writes MaxedMoney.
He is a licensed life-insurance agent. [PLACEHOLDER: list Zach's exact licenses and the states where he is licensed.] His insurance writing goes through compliance review, including OSJ (Office of Supervisory Jurisdiction) oversight, before it is published.
What Zach covers
Zach writes the plain-English guides on this site. They cover cash, credit, inflation, investing, trading, crypto, retirement accounts, financial advice, and scams. He also writes the life-insurance guides, including term versus whole life, IUL, infinite banking, and how permanent policies actually work.
Because Zach can sell life insurance, those guides carry the clearest duty to be fair. When a guide involves a product he is licensed to sell, the disclosure appears with that guide.
The honest-broker approach
The goal here is information first. If a guide helps you understand a product and you decide not to buy it, that is a win. A page that talks you out of the wrong policy did its job.
Zach explains how a product works, who it can fit, and who should walk away. Each answer points to the official rule or data behind it, so you can check it yourself. He will also tell you when a cheaper or simpler option is worth a look.
Ask Zach
Have a money question, or are you being pitched a policy you are not sure about? Ask Zach. Leave your email and one short sentence. He reads these himself.
